Hogenakal

After a good movie on Saturday, on my way back I got my bike checked for Sunday. I along with some of my friends had planned a trip to hogenakal falls in TN.

Sunday morning I got up by 7 in the morning. All thanks to Adi. We were supposed to meet at the forum mall in Kormangala by 8 am. I got ready, had my breakfast was there by 7.58(before timeJ) and found only Adi there. Waited for sometime, Varun was next to come and soon Ajith also came. Btw when we were waiting there, Adi was so interested in the dogs which were there and also where they were shitting.  Anyways we left by 8.20. It took us sometime to cross Bangalore city. The electronic city area was bad, not very good roads as some road construction was going on and on top of that it had rained last night and was drizzling that time, so all slush around. Our bikes and shoes had them all over. But as soon as we got out of city limits, the roads were WOW. Especially after Hosur, you just rip n rip and rip. Varun was like a cool dude all the way, not ripping too hard but still enjoying the roads to their best! A little time before our first stop when Ajith was leading a lady was crossing the road, she saw Ajith coming at some 120kmph and stopped but all of a sudden something came to her mind and she started running to cross the road, he was so close to bang into her and I was also very close to Ajith with almost the same speed, but a little on his left. So when he slowed down I was not going to bang into him in any case but if he misses the lady than for sure I will bang into her. His bike skidded some distance and so did mine and we stopped so close to that lady. Somehow we managed to avoid that collision. Finally we reached A2B, stopped there to take a break and grab something to eat. But the place was packed and there was no place to sit. And the roads were so tempting that we decided to give up on food and hit the roads. But before that we had a little photo sessions with our bikes, also capturing the slush on it which had dried by that time.

From there we were to go till Dharmapuri and from there take 2 right which will head us directly to our destination. The road was smooth, the bike was zooming and we were enjoying every bit of it. After we took right from D we guys thought that the roads will be a little rough but to our surprise they were really good. Usually you don’t find this good roads in village areas. They were so good that on those roads also we were zooming on 90-1000kmph. And since they were through villages and farms there were many awesome curves which any biker will like to hug. A small stop in between and we were at our destination by 11.30.

We parked our bikes and reached the river side, now to see the whole area u really need to take a boat, so we all decided we will. After bargaining a lot or rather say after trying a lot to bargain we hopped onto the boat. The boats were also funny, it’s only this side of the country that I have seen boats like these. We all were really scared when Adi was about to get onto the boat, what if it sinks??? But we decided to risk and got onto the boat with Adi. A little ahead the boat guy got off to buy some ticket and that time Ajith was given the job of taking care of the boat, and he did it pretty well, along side entertaining us with his poses for the pics.

The boat ride was smoothing. The river was calm at that place. We saw some small water falls, we also did ‘boat sanan’ as it was said by the boat guy in which he took us below the waterfall. Than at one place he asked us to get off the boat and start walking, and we had to walk a lot. I really mean a lot and that also through small streams. But it was worth the fun. At few places there was no stone to step on and cross so Adi decided to soak his shoes and get into the stream while Ajith and I were trying our best not to get into the stream and look for an alternative. Varun on the other hand was confused whether to join Adi or us and at some places he struggled also. After a lot of walking we came close to the main falls. Now to get there again you had to cross little streams, this time I saw no alternatve and me also soaked my shoes into water and so did Varun. But Ajith was our hero, he still looked for stones far away and was hopping from one onto another till at one point he fell into water and landed up with wet feet. Reached near the falls, Adi and Varun being tired gave up some way before the edge and sat there while me and Ajith went close to the edge and clicked some photos.

After chilling for a while there we headed back, now the boat guy took us through a very more calm river. After walking so much this ride was really worth going for. We cracked jokes, talked and had a nice time.

After reaching back to where we started we started hunting for some place to eat as we were very hungry. We knew we won’t find a very good place. Found a place called C.M. hotel. But to my bad luck they had only South Indian meals. To be honest I don’t like this type of meals a lot. But when you hungry anything and everything goes. So we all ordered for meals. Now to add to it they had no spoons. Damn, I can’t eat rice with hands. Have had like that a few times in the past but its tough. But hunger made me have, I somehow struggled and was eating and others were having a nice laugh on the way I was eating. For my good luck those guys did not take a photo of me while eating. After a full stomach and in lazy mood it was time to hit the roads again and set back to Bangalore. This time we did not rip so hard but were just crusing on 100-110kmph. Stopped by at A2B again, hydrated ourselves with some drinks a little food, settled our accounts and back on our babes. It was starting to get a little dark now. We were expecting a huge traffic when we hit Bangalore but it was less. So it did not take us long to reach silk board where we all parted and took different ways to our respective homes.

Of all the bike trips I have been to I will rate this one my third best after Lonaval-Khandala and Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta trips. And about roads, the second best I have ripped my bike on, after Mumbai-Pune expressway. To end with I will say I said a fun time, and may be last fun time before I start studying for my coming exams which are very close. Its time to stop punching keys and pick up my books. Adios.

Dostana

The weekend that just passed by was quite a one. I was very confused if to actually do some chilling out or to stay back home n study for my exams that are starting on the coming Thursday. Then came a savior, she told me just do as much masti as you can this weekend and let it be your last for this semester. After this weekend study properly. And I decided to listen to her. So on Saturday, 15th November, I decided to catch up for a movie.

Decided that I will go for movie DOSTANA with some of my college friends. This is the very first time I am writing a movie review, so just pass by if something seems inappropriate. And ya, one more thing, I can’t get into too much technical part like who is the director, music artist…. Bla bla bla. And no narration of story also.

Dostana was not at all a bad movie. I would not say it was too good also. It was mediocre. The first half was about humor and humor and humor. People in the auditorium went crazy laughing. There were some parts which I did not find amusing at all but still you can hear roar of laughter from the audience. I think it’s all the difference in sense of humor. John has acted well in the first half of the movie. But Abhishek does not have that charisma. Kiran kher has a small role and wow, what an over-acting. I know it’s a comedy movie but this much, man she is crazy. At few points even Abhishek seems to be doing over. Out of the two, John and Abhishek, certainly John has an upper hand and all I got to say is ‘well done’. Now the babe, Priyanka, she has done a good acting. For those who did not know I will tell you that this is Priyanka’s 6th movie in this year. The last one was Fashion, where she has done a glamorous role. She carries her glamour here also. Has no problem in walking out of water in a bikini, oops a swimsuit (as she calls it), or showing off her zero figure or long shaped legs. At no point you feel it’s vulgar or indecent. But she sure is looking good in the movie.

After a humorous first half comes a second half. Here we have our very own Dharmendra’s Puttar Bobby Deol! I have no clue why they decided to take him, the role demanded someone better. Now he can’t be taken as an editor of world famous magazine ‘Verve’. I feel he is not stylish enough. And his champu hair style with those efforts to try to look stylish. This part has very very little humor. They have just dragged the movie. But it does not get so boring also, something keeps you hold on to your seats. As the movie closes to the finish the end gets very predictable. Our editor of Verve marries the co-editor, that’s Priyanka.

Over all I will say that if you want to spend some time out and want to catch up some movie than it’s not a bad option at all. It has nothing substantial like Fashion but it sure is a good entertainer. You won’t come out of the movie hall saying that you wasted your money. But one more thing, the humor is not for everyone. People who are not ok with Gay relationship might not like the humor. But I feel there was nothing wrong, as I said before, apna apna sense of humor. So in case you have not watched this movie till now, do it but with a light and open mind. And just enjoy the movie instead of finding the wrongs in it.

Cheers.

India

Sitting on my couch and watching news the other day I just wondered about the constitution of our country. What I read in history books was that when our constitution was to be framed the body, whatever it was called, headed by Dr. Ambedkar did intense search and made numerous efforts to draft our constitution. Also read that these people studied the constitutions of different successful countries and picked up the best from there, complied it and we got our very own constitution. That sounds very similar to what many people do to their computers now-a-days, common term that is used it “assembling a computer”. But do these assembled computers give max performance? Well sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. So the point is that all depends on the parts and their compatibility with each other. Considering a bike, it’s so made that all parts work in harmony with each other and give best out of it. If u replace any part with any other bike’s part than it might not be as good as it was before.

Now that was just about bike and computer, merely objects. If one gets spoiled than can dump it and buy a new one. But now the talk is about our constitution, we followed a some what similar thing in framing it. Assembled. That’s why we have different states having a government of their own, than on top of it a central government. We have so many political parties, every now and than you see some minister splitting from his party and making a party of his own. And talking about ministers, you will find in every corner of every city. They are just so many of them. And than there are so many supporters of our so many mWe hear and say politics is bad, but no, politics is not bad. It’s the people involved in it presently are making it appear bad. When someone has to get some work done he bribes, that’s so common and understood. And in bribing you have to pay sufficient amount that the person from top level minister to his supporters all are well fed. Some ministers are state level and some are central level.

And what I have observed lately is that when one party is ruling in the center and some other party is ruling some state that there is no co-ordination in between center and state government in tackling a situation. There are so many examples of this thing happening. One latest is our RAJ T case that is going on. As expected the matter is becoming big and big. All ministers from all over the country (or say particularly from north) are giving their valuable comments. The center says something, the state government saying something. Ufff…. That’s all I can utter. Even this Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu case, which is hot nowadays, is on same ground. So many, there are so many such instances where lack or coordination between both the government leads to delay in obtaining the solution and aggravating the problem.

My say is that there should be just one level of government. Either make it state or central. In which central is any days preferred. So that one body has control over the whole country. And it can work efficiently and give it best for the benefit of the country. This will also lead to cut down of number of ministers in our country and hopefully less corruption. May be this also brings in feeling of oneness among people of India. Right now due to our great politicians for many of them its all about their state and country comes a long way behind or does not even exist. While it should be country first and than state. But can we really do something to change our constitution now? Will anyone at all support it? I don’t think so; it will be opposed by all, politics after all. So I request everyone to stop dividng each other on basis of caste, religion or our latest factor STATE and live in harmony and peace. After all we all are INDIANS first.
